If this is your first visit to our office, simply call us now at our office at (813) 908-3636 and the receptionist will reschedule you up to two times. If you miss more than two appointments, they will ask for a non-refundable deposit or may see you on a walk-in basis.
Yes, by law a copy of your X-rays must remain on site; they are a property of and belong to MyDental. To request a copy of your X-rays, call us now at our office at (813) 908-3636 or email at mydentalflorida@gmail.com. Patients can only ask for the copies of their own X-rays. A patient must sign a HIPAA release first. All X-ray copies are reviewed by the doctor and then emailed directly to the patient and/or another provider. This service costs $25.00. Please give us a 48-hour notice for all X-ray/ chart requests.
No problem. It is very important that you are seen within 1 to 2 days after it falls off, call us now at our office at (813) 908-3636 immediately. In the meantime, you can visit your local pharmacy and purchase any temporary cement material until your next appointment. If the temporary is broken, schedule with our office immediately to make you a new one at no cost. Or simply place a dab of toothpaste in the temporary crown and place it back on if possible. Avoid chewy and sticky foods to prevent pulling the temp off.
Call the office to schedule an easy 15 minutes adjustment. It is possible that your bite needs an adjustment from the temporary sitting too high.
Crowns usually fall off because bacteria have eaten away the tooth under the crown causing the seal to break and popping off the crown. This is not always the case though and it’s important that you call us immediately after any crown falls off. The risk of needing a root canal becomes much greater after you lose a crown.
How long your crown will last will depend on how well you clean and take care of it. The ADA usually rates the lifetime of crowns to last an average of 10 years, however, we have seen many well-taken care of crowns last 30 years plus.
Yes it can. This is purely cosmetic and not recommended unless requested by the patient. Since it’s cosmetic, insurance benefits don’t apply.
Slight sensitivity is normal after a filling procedure, however, when you bite your teeth together if you feel like you’re biting on the filling first and unevenly, call our office for a simple adjustment at (813) 908-3636.
